Co-founded a social impact venture focused on improving transparency and accountability in higher education through a DEI-centered review platform. Together with my co-founder, I planned the product from the first idea to the full public launch. The platform was selected as a real-world consultancy project for students from City, St. George's University of London, supporting practical learning and strategic development.
We secured support from the Google Cloud Startup Program, receiving $2,000 in credits, and obtained SEIS/EIS certification from HMRC for £450,000. I led the end-to-end technical development of the platform, defined the system architecture, and managed outsourced engineering resources. I personally built the backend and maintained the entire infrastructure.
I coordinated work across design and engineering and actively participated in outreach teams to support product-market fit. I published the mobile apps in both the App Store and Google Play and handled all communication with platform reviewers to resolve compliance issues. I also worked directly with educational institutions to gather insights and advise on inclusive practices that informed product improvements.
Unfortunately, the project collapsed in September 2025 after we ran out of money. After taking time to reflect, I am now focused on building something new using the lessons and experience gained from the journey.
